As part of the Connected Thinking series, VP Narada Golden and sustainability consultant Chris Edmonds from the internationally esteemed WSP’s Built Ecology team, have recently contributed to an article for the online platform – The-Possible.

Part-radical, part-logical, In ‘Five Components of the Modular Future’, they argue that, ‘factory-built homes could make affordable, healthy city living possible for all’ in the future. Golden and Edmonds identify five areas where this can happen. Firstly, modular housing addresses a range of urban problems. Secondly, families could become DIY developers. Thirdly, It takes a developer who’s willing to embrace risk. Fourthly, a collaborative design can be a more sustainable one. And finally, It could mean a fairer deal for the workforce.
